Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Device Security Check application (the "Application")
created by Krishnaprasanth ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our").
This service is provided "AS IS".
1. Information We Process
The Application is a device security diagnostic tool. Most analysis runs locally on your device.
The Application may process the following categories of information:
- Device and system data: device model, manufacturer, Android version, SDK level, language settings, and basic system configuration.
- Installed app metadata: package names, installer source/trust signals, app visibility metadata, launcher visibility, and declared/granted permissions relevant to security analysis.
- Security results: scanner findings, risk classifications, and generated detailed report snapshots stored locally in app-private storage.
- Integrity verification data: Play Integrity tokens and related verification responses required to evaluate supported integrity signals.
- Vulnerability feed data: signed Android vulnerability feed metadata and payload used for report matching.
- Feedback submissions (when you send feedback): email address, feedback type, description, optional screenshots, optional contact consent, and technical metadata appended to your submission for diagnostics.
- Purchase state: product/tier entitlement state from Google Play Billing (we do not receive payment card details).
2. App Visibility and Installed Apps Access
The Application uses QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES to access installed app visibility.
This is required for core scanner functionality.
This data is used to:
- Detect apps that may be hidden, sideloaded, or otherwise require review.
- Analyze app permission exposure and risk indicators.
- Generate local security findings and background scan alerts.
3. How We Use Data
- Run on-device security diagnostics and scoring.
- Display findings, explanations, and recommendations in the app UI.
- Verify supported integrity signals through backend verification flow.
- Fetch and verify signed vulnerability feed content for detailed reports.
- Process support/feedback submissions and, only if you consent, contact you about your submission.
- Enable premium entitlement checks and related paid features.
4. Local Processing and Storage
Security scans and most analysis are performed locally on-device.
Report/history files and settings are stored in app-private storage.
Android cloud/device backup for app data is disabled by app configuration.
5. Network and Service Providers
The Application may communicate with:
- Service Provider backend APIs for integrity verification, vulnerability feed retrieval, and feedback submission processing.
- Google Play Services / Play Integrity API for device/app integrity flows.
Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing for purchase processing and entitlement restoration.
Google Privacy Policy
6. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect by Default
- Contacts, SMS contents, call recordings, or personal file contents as part of routine scanning.
- Precise GPS location data.
- Payment card or banking credentials.
- Mandatory account-registration profile data (the app does not require account signup).
Note: if you voluntarily attach screenshots in feedback, those files are submitted by your explicit action.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers necessary for app operation,
such as Google services and our backend infrastructure used to run app features.
8. Retention and Deletion
- Local app data: remove by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
- Purchase records: handled by Google Play.
- Feedback submissions: retained on backend systems only as needed for support, quality, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized according to operational retention policies.
9. Your Rights
If you are in jurisdictions with privacy rights (including EEA/UK and California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, subject to applicable law.
To exercise rights requests, contact us at the email listed below.
10. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13.
11. Security Disclaimer
The Application provides diagnostic and auditing information. No security tool can guarantee complete detection
of all risks or absolute device safety.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
